Our server side programmer jon has decided that his interest lies in other areas of technology and albeit having done a fantastic job on the server so far - the job has now been handed to the fantastic Richard Pilot.
 
No doubt he will be blogging before long - he takes control of server code which is fully working for sending chat messages, and location based updates to each connected player. The codebase he will be extending was written with performance as a top priority and jon has created a fantastic base layer for Rich to build upon!
 
Exciting times with fresh talent mean this change has injected some life into an integral part of the project.
 
....On other fronts I have got some audio into the client - and its not just some rubbishy mp3 i cooked up on dance ej either - we have some special little secrets we are bringing into gaming for our gamers ears!
